Recently during an episode of PulpMX David Vuillemin and Rutledge Wood got into some banter on the show. Rutledge is NBC Sports' newest commentator and the MX community still has mixed feelings about him.
Rutledge is best known for commentating Nascar events and Top Gear USA. Rutledge has been most critiqued for his segments going over basic administrative roles in Supercross ie flaggers, track builders, etc.
David Vuillemin was very vocal about the racing needing to be the emphasis of the broadcasts. Lately during the races many crashes and passes have gone under the radar. DV believes the sport is core and more attention should be focused on racing, broadcasting and in a sense keeping it pure.
